Ski area Val di Sole

The Val di Sole ski resort includes the ski areas of Folgarida-Marilleva, Peio and Passo Tonale. Placed inside the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta network, on the western part of Trentino, this winter sports resort is surrounded by the imposing Brenta Dolomites and by the Adamello-Presanella group and the Ortles-Cevedale group. The convenient position of the three ski resorts at high altitudes is a guarantee of lots of snow also thanks to the modern snowmaking system. The Val di Sole valley is an ideal destination for every winter sport enthusiast: downhill runs and snowboard tracks with every kind of difficulty levels as well as cross country skiing trails and snowshoe hiking itineraries.

The Folgarida-Marilleva ski resort is directly linked to the well-known area of Madonna di Campiglio and, since the winter 2011-2012, also to Pinzolo: a stunning ski domain with 150 km of runs, some of which are also equipped for night skiing and placed close to the accommodation facilities. The ski resort of Peio, situated in the heart of the nature reserve Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, is a unique location for family holidays. Passo Tonale with the Presena glacier placed at 3000 m of altitude, offers a long snow season and features some of the best slopes of the whole Dolomites area: the demanding Paradiso run (considered level hard) and the panoramic Alpino run. The ski resort includes also an exciting snow tubing track, a skicross trail and 2 snowboard parks: the Snowboard Park Burton Progression and the Adamello Freestyle Arena. You can also find a cross country skiing center in Vermiglio and several Nordic Ski tracks. Kids can have a lot of fun in the Biancaneve Snow Park and the Cirmolino Club in the Val di Peio valley.

Those looking for some alternative winter activity will find in Val di Sole amazing snowshoe hiking trails and remarkable ski mountaineering tracks, among the enchanting sceneries of the Stelvio nature reserve.
What about ice climbing and ice skating? Here you can practice both but you can also choose to experience Nordic Walking in winter, dog sledding and a horse-drawn carriage tour.
