Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most famous and exclusive ski resorts in the Dolomites, and one of the most sought after destinations for snow holidays. What attract skiers and visitors here are the terrific slopes, state of the art lift facilities, great hotels and breathtaking landscapes. Madonna di Campiglio, the ultimate ski resort for all winter sport lovers, is included in the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta and is located in the Val Rendena valley, in west Trentino, surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and of the Presanella.
Madonna di Campiglio is considered the queen of winter sport and known as the Pearl of the Dolomites. The resort features modern lift facilities and perfect slopes that cater to all ability levels winding in a wonderful natural environment. And then there are of course its excellent hotels and the lively social scene. Since season 2011/2012 Madonna di Campiglio is directly connected to the slopes of Pinzolo via the new gondola lift Pinzolo – Campiglio Express, thus offering a total of 150 km slopes, some of which are among the most famous in the world, like the 3Tre – Miramonti, hosting every year the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
Downhill skiing and snowboarding are the most common practiced sports and the resort has many ski schools with professional instructors and FIS trainers, specialized in every discipline from freestyle to freeride, from telemark skiing to ski carving. Besides basic, intermediate and advanced courses, the schools organize special classes for kids and disabled, and pro ski training lessons.
If you love snowboarding, the Ursus Snowpark is one of the best in Europe. This terrain park, which hosts also international competitions and shows, is perfect to learn and improve your snowboard tricks. Campo Carlo Magno instead has beautiful FIS certified cross-country skiing trails winding in the breathtaking sceneries of the nature reserve Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, trails included in the SuperNordicSkipass.
Children can learn how to ski too and have fun on the snow thanks to the many nursery slopes and ski kindergartens like Campilandia in Campo Carlo Magno.
Not just skiing
In the ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio you can practice many other sports besides skiing and snowboarding: snowshoeing, ski mountaineering on Cima Roma, winter trekking in the nature reserve Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, ice climbing on the waterfalls of Nambrone, Nardis and Vallesinella, and ice skating.
