Ski area Merano 2000
Merano 2000 is the perfect ski resort if you love winter hikes and sledding and if you think that the best way to end a satisfying day on the snow is to relax in a modern spa center.
This ski resort, with state of the art lift facilities and perfectly groomed slopes, has the added bonus of a strikingly beautiful natural environment: the Dolomites and the glaciers of the Ortles mountain group.
Are you a downhill skiing enthusiast? Merano 2000, included in the ski area Ortler Skiarena, offers over 40 km sunny slopes, a breathtaking view and chalets with panoramic terraces. All slopes are covered by snowmaking and floodlit, so you can experience the thrill of night skiing.
If on the other side you prefer cross-country skiing, the Falzeben loop trail, winding for 5 km among woods and valleys at an altitude of 1600, is perfect for beginners and children. And by farm Waidmann snowboarders and freestylers can try all their best tricks on the wide and sunny slopes.
Non-skiers find here many different ways to enjoy the snow, like snowshoeing and winter hiking, with over 25 km trails winding through the most panoramic points of the area, with wonderful views on the Dolomites.
There is also the Alpin Bob, Europe’s longest toboggan run, and a 3 km long sledding slope, a joy for all children.
And if you are a romantic at heart, you can enjoy a beautiful walk in the snow or a horse-drawn sleigh tour.
