Anterselva/Antholz

Anterselva/Antholzertal Valley lies 10 km far from Bunico/Bruneck, in the north-east of Alto Adige.
The valley is surrounded by mountains which can reach 3400 m, and lengthens for 18 km, ending at Passo Stalle /Stallersattel, through which you can get to Austria.
At the entry of the valley there are the two villages of Rasun/Rasen di Sotto and di Sopra and, after five km, Anterselva/Antholz di Sotto (1135 m). From here the valley gets narrower and continues uphill towards Anterselva di Mezzo (1250 m) and Anterselva di Sopra (1532 m). This latest is not a real hamlet but an ensemble of masi and scattered houses all around a little church.
In the valley you can still enjoy an uncontaminated nature, which main symbols are the Lake of Anterselva (1640 m) and the protected area of the Natural Park of the Vedrette di Ries.
In the summer the valley offers the possibility of many excursions both on foot and by bicycle, whereas in winter the valley becomes a true paradise for all the lovers of cross-country skiing and biathlon.
