Homo Sedens – The Art of Sitting in Tyrol
Bolzano | from 19.04.2010 to 23.01.2011
Until January 23 2011 the Runkelstein Castle in Bolzano will host Homo Sedens – The Art of Sitting in Tyrol, an exhibition describing the story of “sitting on chairs” from the Gothic period to today. The chair is in fact the only common object that has always been used in every social context.
With this exhibition the Runkelstein Castles will show the general public objects coming from private collections. Among them, a Gothic chair, a Renaissance style stool and simple Biedermeier style chairs with fancy backs.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Closed on Monday.
