Brunico/Bruneck

Brunico, at 835 m of height, looks like a brisk little city north of the Val di Tures, that becomes then Val Aurina, and south of the famous ski resort of Plan de Corones.
The Central Street (or Town Street) with its buildings is a street of embattled houses enriched by splendid flowered balconies, specialty shops, forged iron signs and animated coffee bars. At the horizon you can admire wooden hills, castle shapes and the famous Sternbach Palace.
Not far from the historical center, Brunico offers two didactic natural paths: the Gole di Rienza Path, 3.4 Km with 17 stops, and the Sternwaldele Path, 2 Km, 10 stops in a broad-leaved wood.
The visit of the town can be completed visiting the Civic Museum of Graphic Art, where you can admire gothic works as well as XXth century graphic creations.
