Fie' allo Sciliar/Völs a.Schlern

Fié allo Sciliar (800m) is a pleasant historical center with delicious lonely hamlets, such as Aica and Umes, mountain villages with thousand resources. Situated above some hills, it is characterized from ancient houses and castle ruins today transformed into restaurants and hotels.

The ancient history describes the witches as unfortunate women accomplices of the evil whose existence influenced the life of the population.
Testimony of their presence is the "chairs of the witches" in the forest of Castelrotto, and "the benches of the witches" on the Bullaccia, stone chair shaped blocks where the witches sat, perhaps while practicing their magical cults...

In June it will be possible to assist to the blooming, a real outbreak of colors in the meadows that encircle the zone.

In Fiè the cooking is the protagonist . All year long it is possible to participate to theme evenings (asparagus and game).
Not to miss one of the greediest and most intriguing dates, the "natural cooking review", that is replicated every year at great request.
In Fiè aspecial attention is paid to the green healthy proposals. Green like the surrounding lawns of the Sciliar. Green like the wood expanses that make a frame to it. Green like the hay when it is collected in the pastures of the Dolomites in order to have it dried and to use it as unique and irreplaceable ingredient in the famous "hay bathing".
