La Villa

La Villa represents the international center of Val Badia at the foot of the Gardenazza and of Piz La Villa. The locality is famous because of the Giant Slalom of World Cup that takes place here for 10 years on the track of the “Gran Risa”. For this manifestation every year the ski caravan arrives in La Villa in the merry atmosphere which is typical of a worldly event.
The old part of La Villa is hidden and in the distance you can see the “Gran Ciasa”, a forlorn building whose bedrocks are said to go back to the High Middle Ages. It is commonly known with the name of Castel Colz.
