Ortisei/St. Ulrich

Ortisei is a pleasant sunny locality, situated in a cheerful and broad bowl down in the valley, on the sunny slope of Rasciesa and under the slopes that hide the Alp of Siusi. The beautiful chief town of the Val Gardena, a famous tourist resort at international level, is characterized from painted houses, in Liberty or Tyrolean style, familiar hotels and typical stores.
In summer we suggest the excursion to the Forcella di Pana, on the Seceda side, while in winter very long and always with perfect snow conditions ski runs do not lack.
Crafuncins (ravioli), bales da furmenton (canederli with buckwheat) tirtels (spinach stuffed tortelli) crafons (marmelade doughnuts with poppy) are some of the Ladin specialties that you could taste in the many restaurants of the zone, where the predominant international kitchen alternates to the typical Tyrolean one.
