Rosengarten-Latemar/Val d'Ega

This is the romantic side of the Dolomites, where rocks turn into a legendary garden! But Rosengarten Latemar is also skiing, climbing and trekking in a beautiful, pristine nature.

A fairytale atmosphere enshrouds the Val d'Ega (Rosengarten-Latemar), a land gifted with some of the most beautiful and famous sceneries of the Dolomites. The Carezza Lake, together with the wonderful peaks of Catinaccio and Latemar, make up a colorful landscape, chosen by many as favorite destination of their hikes.
In winter the Latemar Ski center, considered the best in the Alps, offers miles and miles of slopes and a lot of fun.

Talking about art and history, the Val d'Ega features some precious works of art kept in the Medieval churches of Tires and Nova Levante, and a local art museum inside Thun Castle, in Nova Ponente.

Malghe di Pietralba snowshoeing trail

This snowshoeing tour in the fairytale lands of Rosengarten-Latemar runs along the farms called Malghe di Pietralba (Schönrast; Schmieder; Lahner) and offers a breathtaking view of Brenta, Paganella and Bletterbach.

Lake Carezza

Located in the Val d’Elga valley in South Tyrol, under the Costalunga Pass, Lake Carezza lies at the feet of the imposingsing Latemar, surrounded by a thick fir wood.

With its many hiking trails suitable for the wholoe family, Lake Carezza stands out for the beauty and uniqueness of its colorful waters. In the local dialect in fact it is called the "rainbow lake".
