Velturno/Felthurns

Velturno is situated between Chiusa and Bressanone. The village is rightly considered one of the pearls of Alto Adige. In the welcoming alpine village the ancient lordly residences, the old farmsteads, the little churches, the chapels and the Castle of Velturno of Renaissance origins are the witnesses of a past rich of history.
In any season the landscape is spectacular. The tops of the Dolomites are surrounded by meadows, woods, pastures and chestnuts woods. The town offers the tourists a lot of hotels, boardinghouses, private rooms and apartments. Here the lovers of nature will find their paradise. In summer it is possible to do many excursions in the green, to practice riding and tennis, to swim in the open air public swimming pool and to climb the dolomitic peaks. In autumn you can discover the colours of the chestnut woods smelling the scent of the leaves. In winter, in Velturno, you can ice skate, slide and ski on the cross country tracks. A skilift is at disposition for the beginners of the downhill ski.
