Alba di Canazei is one of the four hamlets of Canazei town council, and still nowadays it preserves many evidences of its Ladin past.
Paradise of winter sports, Alba lies few steps far from the Ciampac skiing area, a district at 2000 m well known for its black track, but at the same time ideal destination for children who, here, learn alpine skiing along the baby tracks or spend funny hours at the playground on the snow.
Only one km far from Alba there is the Belvedere Cableway, which leads to the Sella Ronda, the well-known skiing tour around the Sella massif, which allows to pass through the four Ladin valleys.
Moreover, from Alba, in direction Fedaia Pass, it is possible to get to the cableway to Pian dei Fiacconi, where you will be spoilt for choice about the tracks.
In spring, this area, turns into a paradise for the lover of ski mountaineering, who can practise this sport till May.
Although Alba is famous for its winter season, also in summer the attractions it offers to its guests are endless. Walks among the woods, or for the most sporty ones excursions at high altitudes, mountain bike, horse trekking, ice skating and strong emotions paragliding, are in fact an integral part of a holiday in Alba di Canazei.
