Campitello
Campitello di Fassa is the "alpine" capital at the outlet of Val Duron.
Here was born one of the greatest climbers of the Dolomites of the XIXth century: Luigi Rizzi.
He had the honor to be personal guide of the king of Belgium and often accompanied in their ascensions famous foreign mountain climbers.
He passed through places that nobody had dared to try before him
In Campitello di Fassa the “Ciamorces de Fascia”, the alpine valley guides, are active.
Two goats are the symbol of Campitello, famous for the flourishing breeding of these animals.
