Canal San Bovo is a typical mountain village, with many administrative divisions. Its peaceful environment, allowing at the same time for many outdoor activities, is the feature that mostly attracts visitors.

Canal San Bovo and its many administrative divisions Zortea, Prade, Gobbera and Caoria, are a good starting point for horse trekking tours – the area is crossed by the East Trentino Horse Trail -, mountain bike tours and easy walks: Calaita Lake, Valle Zortei, Val di Lozen, many are the places waiting only to be discovered. The Vanoi stream is perfect for practicing kayaking and sport fishing. In winter, in the area you find cross-country skiing trails and ski mountaineering routes.

In Caoria there is the Vanoi Ethnographic Route, along which you can discover traditions, environments and activities that in the past characterized the economy of Canal San Bovo and of the whole valley. This small hamlet hosts also the Museum of the Great War, with finds of the war that was fought on the surrounding mountains.
