Carisolo is the characteristic mountain village and tourist resort in the Upper Val Rendena, which lies at the entry of Val Genova, at the southern foot of Cima Lancia (2317 m).
The sunny position, the altitude and the charming landscape make Carisolo an excellent place for all those who desire to pass a relaxing holiday in the name of nature and sport.
The village has many sport facilities which allow the guests to practise their favourite sport at any season, from winter sports at the very close Madonna di Campiglio, to tennis and soccer, from fishing to mountain bike, to say nothing about the thousand possible excursions in the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.
Who is in Carisolo cannot miss a visit to the parish church dedicated to Saint Nicola and the little but fascinating church of Saint Stephen. The latter lies on a rock on the river Sarca, and is well-known for the paintings by Simone Baschenis, dated 1519, and for the fresco depicting also Charlemagne. Eventually, another little treasure is the white little church of Saint Martin, dated back to the Medieval period and kept by a hermit till 1850.
