Monclassico
Monclassico is a village located in a scenic setting in Val di Sole, a few km away from the ski lifts of Folgarida-Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio. The resort has a train station and is very appreciated for its location inside the nature reserve of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, rich of trekking trails, and for its bio lake, perfect for some swimming in summer.
From Monclassico you enjoy a wonderful view on the imposing Dolomites of Brenta, a meeting point for climbers, trekkers and mountain bikers. To get some relief from the summer heat you can relax taking a swim in the bio lake, which waters are very clean thanks to special plants and microorganisms. Near the lake you find a bar and a playground.
Monclassico is easy to reach, even if you don’t want to go by car: it is in fact crossed by the Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway line. The village features many cultural attractions: historical dwellings, walls frescoed with sundials, some quite artistic, and the church of Saint Vigil with wood altars. Furthermore, Monclassico boasts one of the most beautiful stue, a type of stoves typical of Trentino, now kept in the Innsbruck museum.
