Monte Bondone

Monte Bondone, also known as the Alp of Trento, is a typical Alpine summer and winter tourist resort at the foot of the Brenta Group.
Moreover, Monte Bondone is the ideal place both for relaxing walks or horse rides and for adventurous climbs or mountain bike jpurneys.
Several paragliding and hang-gliding activities take place here, above the heads of the many climbers who venture on long excursions of various difficulty among the peaks surrounding the "Conca delle Viote".
The Viote Peatbog, one of the most famous humid areas of Trento Province, is an excellent example of Alpine turf field, rich in flora, and numerous are the species which can be cited for their environmental value. Also the vertebrates populating the ponds around the turf field count a lot of rare species, such as the coleotterus aquaticus.
The walks to the Natural Reserve and to the Alpine Botanic Gardens, are extremely interesting. Here more than 2000 species of plants and flowers from the five continents grow. From the Garden it is possible to venture along a Naturalistic Path equipped with information panels that describe in a simple manner the ecosystem of high mountain forests and meadows.
In winter the Skiing Area Monte Bondone is an interesting destination for the lovers of winter sports.
