Pinzolo
Pinzolo is an uncontaminated mountain village and a lively tourist centre in the Rendena Valley, in the heart of the 900 million square metres of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, in a natural oasis where eagles and chamois, marmots and the brown bear live.
And it is thanks to this spectacular environment that Pinzolo can offer at the same time adventure and peace, fun and sport, friendly people and the hospitality of the many characteristic facilities.
In winter the snow, guaranteed all the season long, and the fast and modern lifts of the ski areawhich get to the 2100 metres of the Doss del Sabion, allow to practise skiing, snowboard, cross-country skiing, telemark, ski excursions, ski mountaineering and any kind of walks and adventures.
In summer, on the other side, it is very difficult to choose among the classic excursions to the Brenta Dolomites, to the Adamello or to the Presanella, and fishing, playing golf and tennis, horse riding, paragliding, free-climbing…
But besides its protected environment of a rare beauty, Pinzolo is an interesting centre also from the historical and cultural point of view. In fact, in Pinzolo, there is the Church of San Vigilio, which is considered one of the most important monuments in Trentino for its southern façade. This church, built before 1000 A.D., was frescoed in the XVI century by Simone Baschenis with allegories of the Dance Macabre and of the Seven Mortal Sins.
Moreover, in 1952, the first Italian Alpine Emergency Service was founded.
