Surrounded by Lake Garda, the Brenta Dolomites and the nature reserve Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, Terme di Comano is famous for its thermal waters. Here in fact you can admire the beauty of protected animal and plant species in the nature reserve Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, enjoy the quietness and beauty of two of the most beautiful hamlets in Italy, Rango and San Lorenzo in Banale, or unveil centuries of history and artistic treasures inside churches and castles, like the famous Stenico Castle.
Outdoor activities in Comano Terme range from relaxing walks on the valley floor to high altitude trekking routes, like the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek, a 89 km route with a total elevation gain of 8170 meters.
400 fully equipped routes, streams where you can practice sport fishing, horseback riding tours to refuges and farms, miles of mountain biking trails… here you find always something new to do! For expert mountain bikers there is also the Dolomiti Brenta Bike, a 171 km route through the nature reserve Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta and the Brenta Dolomites.
Terme di Comano is renowned also for its food and wine specialties: the walnuts of Bleggio, the Slow Food ciuìga, a salami with turnips presented every year at the beginning of November during the Sagra della Ciuìga, the Spressa of Giudicarie ( a cheese), the Potatoes of Lomaso, and of course renowned wines like the red Rebo and the white Kerner. The territory is crossed by the Lake Garda – Brenta Dolomites Wine and Flavors Route, a 35 km long route leading you through the best local products and specialties.
The hike to the Death Pass and to the Romitorio develops among mountain paths and charming forests, well-marked and enriched by breathtaking landscapes.
Leave the car in the park of the church of Comano Terme and follow directions to the Death Pass and to the Romitorio. Reach Caputèl delle Anime and get to the pass, at an altitude of 843 meters.
Continuing on the route you get to Bivio del Casale, follow for Sarche and Motte along the trail SAT 427 and you get to the Romitorio, from where you have a wonderful view of the valley below.
Lake Toblino stretches at the end of the Sarca valley and is considered one of the most romantic expanses of water of Trentino: surrounded by a unique natural environment, among hills and forests, olive trees and vineyard, all overlooked by Toblin Castle, the lake is included in an important biotope.
This small lake lies at the end of the Sarca valley, west of Trento, at an altitude of 245 meters. Its charming beauty is given by the peculiar setting: the lake in fact is surrounded by lush green hills, and on its shores rises the romantic Toblin Castle.
