The adventure of glass

“The adventure of glass. From Renaissance to the Twentieth century between Venice and distant worlds” is the title of the new exhibition held in the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento from June 26 to November 7: a voyage of discovery into the glass art of Venetian artisan masters, now famous all over the world.

The exhibition, displayed in both the Buonconsiglio Castle and the Thun Castle in the Val di Non valley, is divided into three sections describing glass manufacturing and preparation of raw materials. Exhibition pieces include glass dining sets and glass stones, all set in a background recreating an atmosphere of past times.

You will be able to admire Renaissance masterpieces coming from Venetian museums, pearls and glasses of the Sixteenth century, pearls necklaces, a glass flute allegedly stolen from Napoleon during Waterloo, and many other pieces coming from both public and private collections.

In August the theater company L'uovo Teatro Stabile di Innovazione from Aquila will perform daily the show “Glass”.
