Valsugana and Lagorai are the perfect destinations to revitalize body and mind, in the silence of woods, enjoying the beneficial thermal waters and the crisp clean mountain air. Sport, nature and relaxation, in Valsugana you can have it all.

Stretching between the Lagorai mountain range and the Asiago plateau, Valsugana is a charming valley with a wild nature, still unknown by tourists at large: it’s not by chance that here you find the only WWF oasis of Trentino.

A holiday in Valsugana means first of all wellness: Levico, Vetriolo and Roncegno feature in fact renowned spa centers, the perfect places to revitalize your body and calm your mind.
Lake Caldonazzo and the many other expanses of water present on the territory make this area an ideal destination for water sports enthusiasts: here in fact you can practice dragon boat (a sport imported from China), sailing, canoeing, sport fishing and windsurfing.

The territory of Valsugana and Lagorai is crossed by a lot of hiking trails, and travelling along them is the best way to enjoy the surrounding nature and to admire the beautiful landscape. The most interesting routes are the ArteNatura route in the Val di Sella valley and the Trodo dei Fiori, with a wonderful view on Pale di San Martino and on the mountain range Vette Feltrine.
Whether you prefer riding a bike or a horse, Valsugana has the right solution for you: the Valsugana Cycle Track, a 70 km route from Lake Caldonazzo to Bassano del Grappa, and the East Trentino Horse Trail. And then golf, paragliding, Nordic walking, cave descents in Oliero and under Tesino Castle, exciting climbs in the Acropark adventure park: in Valsugana you always find something to do!

Winter too is a very active season in Valsugana-Lagorai, and here sport enthusiasts can fully enjoy the magic of snow in the ski areas Panarotta 2002 and Funivie Lagorai.
If instead you like culture and history, go for a tour to Ivano Castle and Pergine Castlle, often hosting exhibitions and cultural events, or the Museum of the Great War in the Lavarone Fort, which, together with the other fortresses rising along the old border between Italy and Austria, stand as the sad memory of a tragic past.
In Valsugana you find a lot of food produced and sold directly by locals, to get the best in terms of freshness and taste: cheese, polenta, honey, the Trento RDO spumante, the radicchio of Bieno, the water of Levico, and the Parampampoli.

East Trentino Horse Trail

The East Trentino Horse Trail is a wonderful route running at the feet of the Lagorai Mountain Range. Riding along this trail allows you to explore the beautiful natural environment with your equine friend.

Among charming landscapes, jagged mountain peaks, lush green forests and a pristine nature runs the East Trentino Horse Trail. Don’t miss the chance to explore with your horse this 432 km long trail divided in 9 stages and with 4 alternative routes, admiring from below the imposing mountain range of the Lagorai.

Ivano Castle

Legendary Middle Age fortress, Ivano Castle rises in the eastern section of the Valsugana valley and nowadays hosts the culture center “Castel Ivano Incontri”.

Ivano Castle rises in Ivano Fracena in the Valsugana valley, not far from Trento, and is one of the best preserved fortresses in the province of Trentino.
Surrounded by a wonderful park, which hosts an animal reserve and several flower species, the castle has a long history and its charm is due also to the many local legends.
